Fun in the Sun is a free activity programme for 5-11 year olds, aimed at providing high quality sports coaching during the summer holidays for young people in rural locations across the county. The sessions will be delivered in 27 different venues across the county over four weeks of the summer from.
Sports provided may change on a week by week basis but will include tag rugby, cricket, football, dodgeball, tennis, rounders, athletics and team activities. Sessions will include high quality multi-sports coaching from Bath Rugby and Wiltshire Cricket. These sessions are a great way to meet new friends, have fun and stay active!
Children must bring with them a completed consent form. Downloaded consent form from the Wiltshire Council website, collected at school or collected at their first session of attendance. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis, and we suggest that children bring with them a hat, sun cream and a water bottle if it’s sunny. In the event of wet weather we will endeavour to provide an indoor venue but this is not always possible so if rain is likely please encourage children to bring along a waterproof coat.
